In younger years, Don followed his father around with a little
Brownie black and white camera. His Dad was a thoroughbred
photographer with his own dark room.... the works! For years they
shot together, enjoying some of the most precious moments now
locked into Don's memory.
By the 1980's Don was immersed into photography shooting everything
from wild flowers to models, performers, actors and "set" stills
for television. He also spent some time shooting pro rodeos. But
soon he was back to shooting models, building portfolios to attract
the Ford Agency and other popular agencies in Los Angeles.
In recent years, he has been specializing in Event Photography
catching some of the most natural, memorable moments for his
clients at their business meetings, dinners and parties. He
recently completed some detailed projects with Corinthian Colleges
and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. He was a field photographer
at the Dodger Stadium for the Asian/American night celebrations.
Personal projects include specialty shoots with models for
portfolios and commercial endeavors, then running off to Mammoth
Mountains to track the bears and grab some very remarkable shots of
them in their natural habitat.
